Clocks- 4 (Four) wooden movement shelf: (1) Smith Brothers, New York, 30 hours, time and strike,, wood movement bevel case, c1840. (2) George Mitchell, Bristol, Conn., 30 hours, time and strike,, "groaner" wood movement stenciled half column, c1828. (3)Riley Whiting, Winchester, Conn., 30 hours, time and strike, wood movement carved column & splat, c1832. (4) Eli Terry Jr & Co., Plymouth, Conn., 30 hours, time and strike, wood movement half column and carved splat shelf clock. Original dial and hands, c1835.
CONDITION:
(1)Refinished mahogany and birds eye maple case in nice condition. Hour hand original, minute hand replaced. Original wood dial. Mirror replaced. Gong base and door knob missing. (2) Mahogany veneered case missing original finish. Original stenciling, but top is missing. Original dial, old hands, but minute hand too short. Mirror replaced. (3)Refinished mahogany veneered case with loss. Original dial and hands. Mirror replaced. (4)Refinished mahogany veneered case. Original dial and hands. Mirror replaced. Carved splat inside the case.
